What stays free — and what premium actually adds
Start here, because it is the part most sites are deliberately vague about: every assessment on PsychIQ is free, and every result is shown to you in full, immediately, with no account and no email address. Premium does not unlock your score. Your score was never locked.
The thing we refuse to charge for
The standard model in this industry is to let you answer questions for fifteen minutes and then demand payment to see what you just earned — typically somewhere between three and thirty dollars per report, or a subscription that quietly renews. We think holding a person's own result hostage at the moment of maximum curiosity is a dark pattern, and it is the one thing we will not do. All 55 tests, every interpretive band, every dimension breakdown, and every recommendation are free forever, for everyone, with no daily limit on retakes.
What premium is actually for
Premium covers the cross-test synthesis rather than the tests themselves: the full Life Mirror report that reads all of your assessments together and surfaces the patterns no single test can show, an ad-free reading experience, and a clean PDF export you can keep or bring to a therapist. It is genuinely optional — the tests do not degrade, nag, or expire without it.
How the site is funded either way
PsychIQ runs on unobtrusive advertising plus optional support from people who choose to contribute. That is the honest trade behind the free tests: you may see an ad, and in exchange nothing you produce here gets held behind a paywall. If you would rather not see ads at all, premium removes them; if you would rather not pay anything, the site works completely and permanently without it.
No subscription traps
Payments are handled by Stripe and we never see or store your card details. There is no auto-renewing plan designed to be difficult to escape, no cancellation maze, and no retention offers standing between you and leaving. If you have any question about a charge, write to us and a person will answer.
