Relationship Blocks Profile
What's standing between you and lasting connection
About this assessment
A behavioral self-assessment of the psychological patterns most reliably associated with difficulty forming or sustaining close romantic relationships. Drawing on the Fear of Intimacy Scale (Descutner & Thelen, 1991), the Experiences in Close Relationships — Revised (Fraley, Waller & Brennan, 2000), Bowlby's attachment theory (1969), and Brené Brown's empirical vulnerability research (2010), this profile measures seven dimensions: fear of being truly known; expectation of abandonment or loss; use of independence as emotional armor; romantic self-worth deficits; avoidance of emotional disclosure; influence of unprocessed past hurt; and structural readiness for connection right now. Items are behavioral rather than abstract — they ask about what you actually do, not what you believe about yourself in theory. Higher scores indicate more active blocking in that dimension. For self-reflection and education only, not a clinical diagnosis or a substitute for professional support.
